Siem Reap in the house

With a crack of the throttle and we are away through the back streets of Siem Reap. Before long we are dirt bike riding like 5 mates on a mission, A mission to stay up right and and ride from the north to the south of Cambodia.

In a couple of minutes we are in a new world, the boys looked in shock after just a touch of real Cambodia hits them.

We smashed the ks on the bike on the first day with a 140ks of single track, it was fast and hairy and we loved it. Travis and brad are mad men with one focus on speed and more speed. Riding with these boys is like watching the tennis and your head can't keep up with the ball.

The boys all started very rusty with everyone saying hello to the dirt on more the one occasion, the riding is tight, fast and long. Nothing is predictable here with logs, motorbike and wild life running on all the tracks.

We had a ripper day with everyone looking forward to a nice bed by 4pm.

Our first night we stayed with a local Khmer family in a village 100 ks in the bush. Here we waiting for our clothes to arrive after a long 10 hour ride, at this point we are just fucking wrecked. Our support truck has broken down and we don't have any other clothes. We were stinking so the boys opted to take a Cambodian shower (bucket and soap) and then sit back in there dirty jocks until our clothes arrived.

It took another 2 hours, yes that's right 5 mates standing out the front of a local Cambodian house with everyone for miles coming to have a look ( it's was bloody chapell street) at us in our jocks.

That night was interesting with us all sharing the same sleeping arrangements with the local family, 5 stinky auzzies and a family of 8. Bloody priceless the look on the boys faces when we where directed to our beds, no mattress and just a sheet on wood with fly nets. Let's just say it was an interesting night!!

The locals in Cambodia like there radio loud and early with the farmer next door cracking his generator on around 430am. No noise restrictions in this village.

Life just can't get any better then mates riding through the jungle of Cambodia. From technical single tracks to hidden temples. What a day and more to come, this adventure is turning out to be epic.
